उत्तराखंड में अलग-अलग जगहों पर छठ पूजा पूरे उत्साह और श्रद्धा के साथ मनाई जा रही है। श्रद्धालुओं की सुविधा के लिए घाटों पर विशेष व्यवस्थाएं की गई हैं। ऋषिकेश त्रिवेणी घाट पर व्रती महिलाओं ने उगते हुए सूर्य को अर्घ्य दिया। मुख्य सचिव आनंदबर्द्धन ने भी सपरिवार प्रेमनगर स्थित टोंस नदी के घाट पर पहले अस्ताचलगामी और फिर उदीयमान सूर्य को अर्घ्य दिया। इस अवसर पर उन्होंने सूर्यदेव एवं छठ माता से प्रदेश की समृद्धि और खुशहाली की कामना की है।
चमोली के कर्णप्रयाग नगर क्षेत्र के संगम तटों और आसपास के जलाशयों पर व्रतियों ने भगवान सूर्य को अर्घ्य अर्पित कर परिवार की सुख-समृद्धि की कामना की। सुबह और शाम के समय घाटों पर छठी मइयां के गीतों की गूंज रही। महिलाएं पारंपरिक वेशभूषा में सजकर पूजा सामग्री के साथ घाटों तक पहुंचीं। कई स्थानों पर स्थानीय लोगों और प्रवासी समुदाय ने मिलकर सामूहिक पूजा का आयोजन किया।
छठ महापर्व पर उत्तराखंड में छठ की अनोखी छटा देखने को मिली। मैदानी इलाकों में ही नहीं बल्कि पहाड़ों में लोगों ने छठ पूजा की।
