रुद्रप्रयाग में द्वितीय केदार मद्महेश्वर मंदिर के कपाट शीतकाल के लिए विधि-विधान से बंद कर दिए गए। इस अवसर पर मंदिर को फूलों से सजाया गया और बड़ी संख्या में श्रद्धालु उपस्थित थे। पूजा अर्चना के बाद स्वयंभू शिवलिंग को समाधि रूप दिया गया। कपाट बंद होने के बाद मदमहेश्वर की चल विग्रह डोली गौंडार के लिए रवाना हुई।
द्वितीय केदार श्री मद्महेश्वर मंदिर के कपाट मंगलवार प्रातः आठ बजे शीतकाल के लिए मार्गशीर्ष कृष्ण चतुर्दशी स्वाति नक्षत्र के शुभ मुहूर्त में विधि-विधान के साथ बंद हो गए।
कपाट बंद होने के अवसर पर बीकेटीसी अधिकारी-कर्मचारी, वन विभाग, प्रशासनिक प्रतिनिधि तथा साढ़े तीन सौ से अधिक श्रद्धालु मौजूद रहे।
सोमवार से ही पूरे मंदिर परिसर को फूलों से भव्य रूप से सजाया गया था। ब्रह्म मुहूर्त में मंदिर खुलने के बाद श्रद्धालुओं ने दर्शन किए। पूजा-अर्चना के पश्चात सुबह सात बजे कपाट बंद करने की प्रक्रिया आरंभ हुई।
इस दौरान पुजारी ने बीकेटीसी मुख्य कार्याधिकारी-कार्यपालक मजिस्ट्रेट विजय प्रसाद थपलियालए बीकेटीसी सदस्य प्रह्लाद पुष्पवान तथा पंच गौंडारी हक-हकूकधारियों की उपस्थिति में स्वयंभू शिवलिंग को समाधि रूप प्रदान किया।
स्थानीय पुष्पों और राख से ढकने के बाद प्रातः आठ बजे जयघोषों के बीच कपाट शीतकाल के लिए बंद किए गए। कपाट बंद होने के उपरांत मद्महेश्वर की चल विग्रह डोली ने भंडार निरीक्षण व मंदिर परिक्रमा के बाद ढोल-दमाऊं की ध्वनि के साथ पहले पड़ाव गौंडार के लिए प्रस्थान किया।
