बता दें कि सामरिक दृष्टि से महत्वपूर्ण होने के चलते चिन्यालीसौड़ हवाई अड्डे पर वायुसेना समय-समय पर अपने विमानों की लैंडिंग व टेक-आफ का अभ्यास करती रहती है। इसी क्रम में सोमवार को वायुसेना ने यहां कड़े सुरक्षा इंतजामों के बीच अपना अभ्यास शुरू किया है।
जानकारी के अनुसार इस अभ्यास के तहत परिवहन विमान सी-295 ने पहला चक्कर दोपहर 3:20 बजे हवाई पट्टी पर पहुंचकर पूरा किया, जबकि दूसरा चक्कर 3:50 बजे संपन्न हुआ।
माना जा रहा है कि यह अभ्यास सीमावर्ती एवं पर्वतीय क्षेत्रों में आपातकालीन स्थितियों से निपटने के लिए किया जा रहा है, जिससे विपरीत परिस्थितियों में वायुसेना पूरी क्षमता व मजबूती के साथ काम कर सके।
