पीड़िता के बयान के अनुसार, वह देर शाम टॉर्च चार्ज करने अपने गांव के चाचा के घर गई थी। चाचा ने मौके का फायदा उठाते हुए उसके साथ छेड़छाड़ की और बलात्कार किया। घटना के बाद पीड़िता खुद थाना चौकी लाटा चमियाला पहुंची, जहां उसकी शिकायत दर्ज की गई। देर रात पुलिस ने उसे बेलेश्वर अस्पताल ले जाया, जहां प्राथमिक उपचार के बाद मेडिकल जांच के लिए जिला अस्पताल नई टिहरी भेज दिया गया।
बुधवार को मेडिकल जांच पूरी होने के बाद आरोपी को न्यायालय में पेश किया गया। कोर्ट ने धारा 65(1) बीएनएस और POCSO एक्ट की धारा 3/4 के तहत 14 दिनों की न्यायिक हिरासत का आदेश दिया। पुलिस मामले की गहन जांच कर रही है।
