देहरादून से उत्तराखंड के तीन शहरों – पिथौरागढ़, चमोली और उत्तरकाशी के लिए हेलीकॉप्टर सेवा शुरू हो गई है। उत्तराखंड पर्यटन विकास परिषद (UTDB) द्वारा शुरू की गई यह सेवा राज्य में पर्यटन को बढ़ावा देगी और यात्रियों को कम समय में इन शहरों तक पहुंचने में मदद करेगी। यह सेवा देहरादून से इन शहरों के लिए हवाई कनेक्टिविटी को बेहतर बनाएगी।
देहरादून से गौचर के लिए हेली सेवा शुरू हुई। पहली फ्लाइट ने सफल उड़ान भरी। देहरादून से टिहरी – श्रीनगर होते हुए हेलिकॉप्टर गौचर पहुंचेगा। यह हेलिकॉप्टर दिन में दो बार उड़ान भरेगा। शनिवार को हेलिकॉप्टर ने पहले राउंड में देहरादून से गौचर के लिए 4 सवारियों के साथ उड़ान भरी। वापसी में भी चार सवारी गौचर से देहरादून के लिए हेली से रवाना हुईं।
श्रीनगर से कोई सवारी नहीं रही। हेली सेवा का संचालन कर रही हेरिटेज एविएशन कंपनी के असिस्टेंट मैनेजर ऑपरेशन अभिलाष पटवाल ने जानकारी देते हुए बताया कि सवारी न होने की स्थिति में भी नियमित रूप से हेलिकॉप्टर उड़ान भरेगा, ताकि हेली सेवा की निरंतरता की जानकारी आम लोगों को मिल सके। दूसरी उड़ान दोपहर ढाई बजे के करीब शुरू होगी।
